Procam International buys stake in Eventjini



Strategic partnership to enhance pre-race experience for Runners

Mumbai, September 26th 2016: India’s leading sports Management Company and promoters of the prestigious running events in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bengaluru, Procam International today announced that it has acquired 26% stake in Eventjini, an online Event Registration and ticketing Solution Company. The strategic partnership will combine Procam’s unparalleled expertise in organizing some of the biggest mass participation sports events in India and Eventjini’s knowledge of cutting edge technology to enhance the pre-race experience for runners across the country. 

Promoters of the Big Four - Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon, Airtel Delhi Half Marathon, Tata Steel Kolkata 25K and TCS World 10K Bengaluru - Procam International have been at the forefront of setting industry benchmarks when conducting marathons in India. Widely acknowledged as the company that single-handedly set about a running revolution in India with the launch of the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon back in 2004, Procam International has undertaken this partnership with an intent to further improvise and innovate the user experience for thousands of runners that participate in their marathons.

Looking ahead, the aim of this strategic partnership is to create a meaningful runner interface for all those participating in the marathons. By crafting an online platform, enthusiastic runners would interact and communicate with the organizers and have their queries addressed. The platform is poised to serve as a one-stop shop for registrations, bibs, race updates, run club information, exclusive travel packages, etc. 

Sandilya Venkatesh, CEO and Founder of Eventjini, said, “Our objective is to make what is probably one of the most cumbersome aspects of participating in a race, its Registration process – a quick and painless experience. A combination of advanced tech and usability optimization, the SCMM 2017 applicants breezed through the registration process in less than 4 minutes on average. Using specially created proprietary software, this partnership has made the participation process easier and faster by automating the workflow of registrations across all stages, which includes managing registration servers, registration workflow, registration insights, managing runner profiles, management of corporate registrations and offline registrations, at-venue registrations and processing of runner bibs. If a participant has already created their runner profile with any one Procam event, registration time will be cut down from 10 minutes + to just a few minutes.  

Evenjini has already proven successful with the registrations of the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2017 with excellent feedback coming in from thousands of participants for the sheer ease of use of the new interface and improved speed of registrations.
