India's most sort out festival is back; Bombay Times Presents Mumbai's Ballard Estate Festival





This edition of Mumbai Ballard Estate Festival (MBEF) which had launched with huge fanfare on October 29, 2016, is set to spring a huge surprise on Mumbaikars once again with rare and interesting experiences catering to one and all.

While the grand launch of the second edition of MBEF witnessed an overwhelming response, Shubhra Bhardwaj – Founder and Creative Director of Ferriswheel Entertainment Pvt Ltd has ensured that the second spectacular weekend scheduled on 26-27 November, 2016 will once again surpass people’s expectations.

The highly-anticipated weekend features Kid Zone, Pet Zone, Silent Open Air Cinema, Flea Market, Food Festival, Health and Wellness Zone, Island Stage, Main Stage and Special Experience. 

While Kid Zone features Trampolines, Segway, Inflatable Slides, Inflatable Sumo Wrestling ring, Penalty Shootout, Science Junk – racing cars and tracks, moon rover, latest funky gadgets for kids, the Pet Zone includes Fidel Pets (Leashes, chew sticks, food products, grooming products, services – pedicure, nail clipping basic grooming services), Brinda’s Pet Bakery and Happy tails bakery (baked products for the pets, and merchandise for pet owners). We have a pet adoption corner as well.

The popular facet of the festival Silent Open-Air Cinema which was well appreciated last time, aims at gathering cinema lovers and enthusiasts alike to group together and experience cinema with cordless headsets at the comfort of lounge seating under the open sky (2 Shows each day). Two movies scheduled for this weekend are Queen and Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2.

The Food Festival will offer a mouth-watering tour to the newest cuisines from street food to gourmet- food truck experience.

Health & Wellness Zone – a Reconnective Healing process by Jalpa H Vithalani (Creative Head & Director of Cosmic Heart Gallery, Mumbai).

Main stage performances to witness spectacular shows by Ash King, Akasa Singh, Siddharth Slathia and Ambilini Menon whereas Special Experience will live up to its title including Art Exhibit – a vibrant collection of energized art in a plethora of colors by Jalpa Vithalani, Origami paper art work by Sangram Sadhale, Heritage walks is an opportunity to discover the tremendous hidden gems and stories that are unknown to the world, as one engage in heritage walks. Additionally, a rally of vintage car is scheduled for the signature weekend to add glory to the colloquial setting.

Many interactive acts planned for the streets all throughout the day, on the Signature weekend of 26th and 27th November, which would include clown, jugglers, unicyclist, stilt walkers and ball walkers.
