MOVE MAKERS ON THE MOVE Dance Central, founded by Vineet Bangera hosts Annual Dance Extravaganza "SHOWTIME 2017"

12th March, 2017 in Mumbai- Dance Central year upon year has seen an increasing number of students find and harness their love of dance. Just like every year, this year Vineet Bangera- Founder of Dance Central hosted another  year of an evening full of dance, entertainment & Bollywood---- "Showtime 2017"

The evening saw the presence of Sandhya Shetty, Kaushik Shrimankar, Aanchal Gupta, Sheela Tiruchi,  Vandana Sajnani, Smiley Suri. 

"Showtime" - an annual dance festival of Dance Central, one of Mumbai's leading Latin Dance Schools allows students to showcase their talent in their own artistic form and entertain the audience and attendees. It is a performance showcase of what students have learned at Dance Central.

This year’s event had multitude of entertainers, including dance groups performing on different Latin dance forms. The extravaganza "Showtime" allows students to express themselves through art and dance.

Mumbai's Latin Dance culture isno longer a new phenomenon and is growing in leaps and bounds. Vineet Bangera, the Founder of Dance Central is one of the earliest students and teachers in Mumbai. Despite conducting classes for years, Vineet still considers himself a student and is always learning from his students and peers alike. The annual show is his way of providing a platform for students who often battle questions about their choice to learn dance for months and years on end. This is his way of giving back to the field that has made him all that he is today. 

Vineet Bangera talks about the  extravaganza, “SHOWTIME was outstanding. Our students  showcased their spectacular dance moves. I basically wish to spread my passion for dance in India & enhance the social acceptance & cultural awareness of dance through Dance Central.”

Working towards making dance a mainstream and not just a hobby, Vineet concludes, “At Dance Central we are not just teachers who teach dance, but educate, enhance, inspire, motivate & prepare people for better living.”

Dance Central not just a dance school, it is a family, which focuses on building relationships through dance. Our students they find new ways to feel free, to express themselves, to live through the music and to dance like no one’s watching — all while discovering a new version of themselves.

WHO IS VINEET BANGERA?

Meet the undisputed forerunner in the world of dance, the well articulated 31 year old Vineet Bangera, the much respected veteran started his journey in the creative arts in early 1999.  

While training on ballroom dancing for 5 years in Dubai under Simon Zoghbi, former International Instructor and Judge for International Dance Sport Association he got acquainted with the salsa form of dance. Thereafter he began to perfect different forms of salsa such as L.A. Style, New York Style, Cuban Style , Bachata, Street Cha Cha, Zouk, Casino De Rueda and also had the privilege of working in close quarters with live bands such as “The New Swing Sextet” & “El Gran Combo”

A double graduate in Engineering and Bachelors in Mass Media,Vineet found his passion and his calling in dance. He is infact the only Indian to have represented India extensively in more than 25 countries (Istanbul, Antalya, Greece, Cyprus, Germany, Paris, Malaysia, Bangkok, Bali, Sydney, Dubai, Slovenia, Croatia, Oman, Manila to name a few) between 2005 and 2012 to promote homegrown talent on global soils.

The founder of The Dance Factory, now renamed as Dance Central, the chic Vineet aspires to make dancing, an indispensable syndrome that is easily accessible by the masses. Dance Central today boasts of 5 years of experience, 3 outlets, 7 teachers and over the years about 5000 plus students with a vision of providing quality dance education, personalized engagement, unique dance merchandise and in-depth career counseling.

Being the leader of the wolf pack, he has bagged numerous awards such as Best Salsa Couple in the professional level at Malaysia in 2006, A regular online blogger, Vineet has also been a guest faculty for Shiamak Davars OYP program. He has judged various prestigious college events like Malhar for the last 7 years, Mood Indigo for the last 3 years and has been a judge at various international festivals in countries like Hong Kong, Singapore, Paris, Slovenia. As a choreographer, Vineet was in the panel of technical choreographers from Jhalak Dikhla Jha Season 1 and 2 and was a part of the expert panel for the Miss India contestants in 2005.

Showcasing his talent on the small screen, Vineet was recently seen as a celebrity guest dancer (ALL STAR) on the famous dance show So you think you can dance where he got a standing ovation from all the three judges. Vineet was the much-talked about celebrity contestant on the Nach Baliye 7 along with his wife

Apart from dancing Vineet dabbles in drama, direction, photography, script writing, emceeing, dubbing, DJing and event promotions. His acting debut was in Soch by Deal Done Productions and Hello Goodbye - An Anand Sivakumaran Film as the main protagonist.
