23-Year-Old Avantika Gaokar is Ms India Online Selfie Queen

23-year-old Mumbai-based model and actress Avantika Gaokar was recently crowned the winner of the Miss India Online Selfie Queen. Gaokar who originally hails from Goa is now based in Mumbai, and is aggressively pursuing her Bollywood career. She has already done 2-3 South films and is currently shooting a Bollywood film in Lucknow with a well-known Bollywood cast.

She gave up a lucrative professional career to pursue her dreams of modeling and acting. The pageant Miss India Online Selfie Queen and Miss Goa Selfie Queen is organized by a famous Bollywood fashion and lifestyle portal in association with Vrindaavan Tele Films and Rainbow Talent India. Avantika was also voted the Photogenic Queen in a sub-contest of the same event.

“Both the pageants are organized to promote Indian talent and to groom and promote artistes and actors and provide them a sturdy platform, which gives them the opportunity to interact with professional choreographers, musicians, actors, film directors and stage personalities,” said Kiran Raut of Rainbow Talent in a statement.

Avantika is also the winner of the Western India zonal rounds of the Ms Asia Pacific 2018 and will take part in the national rounds to be held in Mumbai in June 2018.

Gaokar, who had applied for the event in April 2018, polled the maximum number of likes, retweets, mentions and shares on her selfies posted on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, to be crowned the undisputed leader of the pack.

 “I love clicking selfies. I found a reference of the online pageant and I just clicked about two dozen selfies and uploaded them. I never expected to win. However, thanks to all my friends, who voted for me, I am the winner of the Miss India Online Selfie Queen. My next step is Miss World  and Ms Asia Pacific and I am participating in both the events,” Avantika said.
