Sai Tamhankar visits Sukalwadi, a village near Pune for Shramdaan!

Actor Sai Tamhankar, an activist of Aamir Khan’s initiative Paani Foundation, on the occasion of Maharashtra Day, headed to Sukalwadi, a village near Pune for Shramdaan. Sai has been an active member of this Initiative and is working since last three years to help resolve the Water Dispute in the rural areas of Maharashtra.

Sharing her experience, Sai says, "With every passing year, the number of volunteers participating in Shramdaan are increasing and I am extremely happy to see the new generation coming up with great ideas for this noble cause. It was quiet impressive to see a couple, who got married on 1st May, come all over to Sukalwadi for Shramdaan. Likewise, I witnessed people of all ages, ranging from 7 years to 70 years, contributing their bit to make Maharashtra, a Water full State.”

Sai says, “I can proudly say that while working hard in this scorching heat, when your sweat mixes with the soil, its fragrance is beyond beautiful and incomparable to any high-end perfume. Monetary Donation is easy, but Shramdaan is something more important for me.  With more and more initiatives like this, will definitely make Maharashtra a better place, a water-full place to live in.”
