Kailash Kher thought offer from Vishal was a prank

This weekend is going to be a musical extravaganza with Sony Entertainment Television’s Indian Idol 10 launching its Top 14 idols for this season. These young singing superstars across the country are going to set the stage on fire with their incredible voices with the gala episode 28th & 29th July at 8 PM only on Sony Entertainment Television. The music quotient this weekend will go a notch higher when the Padma Shri award winner Kailash Kher will make the audiences in the house groove to his ‘Bam Lahiri’. Kailash Kher  will come to support and encourage the Himachal boy Nitin Kumar.

Kailash Kher went all nostalgic seeing Vishal Dadlani on the judges seat, he remembered the good old days of his first song ‘Allah Ke Bandey’ with Vishal-Shekhar. Vishal also revived the good old days by saying that they loved Kailash’s voice and couldn’t imagine any other singers voice with their first composition and Vishal-shekhar are very grateful to Kalash Kher. Vishal also confessed that Allah Ke Bandey wouldn’t have been possible without Kailash Kher.

When asked Kailash said, “I was in my own world when Vishal called me for the song, I thought someone was playing a prank on me. I still had doubts went I to record the song in a small 8 by 10 room and only one harmonium. But when the song came out after one and a half year, it got all real. Today I have come here and it feels really good when Vishal marked that “Alla Ke bande naa hota agar aapki awaz naa hoti”. This really means a lot to me getting a compliment from a seasoned composer.”
