Mansi Srivastava on kicking scene in Ishqbaaaz: If it was an issue, nobody would have written it

Ishqbaaaz's current track is gripping and the audience is quite excited about what's going to happen. However, a kicking scene in the show received a flak. Actor Mansi Srivastava spoke about the same to Pinkvilla.

Ishqbaaaz is one of the top shows on Television now. The show has completed 500 episodes recently. The show is loved for its interesting tracks and spectacular performances by the actors.

Recently, a kicking scene in the show received a lot of backlash from the audience as they weren't happy with the makers for showing this kind of violence.

In one of the episodes, Mansi Srivastava's character Bhavya kicks Nehalaxmi Iyer aka Saumya. The makers received a flak for showing such violence on a woman on Television.

When Pinkvilla contacted Mansi and asked her about the scene and the backlash, she said, "As a cop and as an actor I was convinced. And this kick was basically to make her unconscious."

She added, "Some people have liked the scene and some haven't. I am open for all kind of criticism as an actor. I was convinced with the scene as a cop so I did it. And if it was an issue, nobody would have written it only or it would have got edited. And let's end that discussion now."

When asked about the current wedding track, she said, "We finally have the Bhavya Rudra shaadi sequence going on. But Annika is in dilemma as Veer has threatened her to swap Bhavya with Saumya . Bhavya doesn't have a family, she has lived in police force since childhood. She is happy to find the love of her life and a loving family."

Your chemistry with Leenesh Mattoo?
She answered, "Leenesh is a very dedicated actor and it's fun to do scenes with him because he is also so involved in the scene and never takes it lightly.

A section of fans has been rooting for Rudra and Saumya over Rudra and Bhavya. Following this, you received a lot of backlash in particular. What do you have to say about that?

Mansi answered, "Everybody has their opinion and favourite actors. So I respect everyone's views and likings."

She added, "People have started liking Ruvya a lot too, it takes time to accept a new character opposite their favourite actor whom they have seen and imagined with someone else. But I am glad for the love and messages I am getting from people who are liking our pair and like our work and scenes."
