Aditi Roy Hydari, who is paired opposite the actor in his second directorial, waxes eloquent on his filmmaking style

After Mani Ratnam’s Katru Veliyidai, which released last year, Aditi Rao Hydari is returning to Tamil cinema as Dhanush’s leading lady in his second directorial which also features him as the protagonist. The yet-untitled project with Nagarjuna, SJ Suryah and Srikanth in pivotal roles, kicked off earlier this month and is presently being filmed in a village in South India. “I almost collaborated with Dhanush on a project earlier, but it didn’t materialise because of date issues. Now, I am happy that I’m doing a big film with him. He is a good actor who makes for an amazing director since he understands actors better,” the actress told Mirror, adding that the Tamil-Telugu bilingual is a challenge as she’s not fluent in either language.
