#MeTooIndia: Model-actress Reyna Vashishtha accuses director Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan of sexual misconduct .....he denies the allegations

With many actresses, singers and models speaking up about horrifying

incidents of sexual harassment, Reyna Vashishtha, a Versova-based young

model, theatre and film actress (who has worked in short films and feature

films), in an interview to Bombay Times revealed that she was left scarred

and depressed after being harassed by filmmaker Sanjay Puran Singh

Chauhan (who is known for his internationally acclaimed film 'Lahore' and

has also won the National Award), in 2014.

She said, “Finally, I found the courage to talk about the way I was

harassed by him four years ago. My rakhi-brother (who does not wish to

be named in the story), who was a journalist with a TV channel in the past,

recommended that I meet Sanjay. After that, we had a phone chat, where

he told me that I could possibly fit the role of the protagonist in a movie

that he was planning. He even told me rush to his office located in Aram Nagar (Andheri West, Mumbai) for a look test, and I

was asked to carry shorts, tops and inner wear, too. When I reached his office, he gave me details of the film’s story and

showed me the sketch of the character in the film. It was a real story of a female boxer. He said, ‘You need to wear shorts and

bold clothes in the film’. He also said, ‘I need to see your legs and hands, to see how fit you are. So, change into shorts and a

short top’.”
