Deepika Padukone confirms she will play a superhero in her next

We have all seen Deepika Padukone play the girl next door, a warrior

princess, and even a badass agent, but going by latest reports, fans might

just get to see the star don a cape and play a superhero for the first time.

According to reports doing the rounds online, Deepika has confirmed that

she is working on a superhero flick but admits that there is no script as yet

and that it is still in the developing stages.

As stated by the actress, the idea of a superhero flick sprang up on a flight

with a friend who was discussing the kind of movies they would like to

make. Expressing her hope for the project to take flight, she said, “I hope

it happens.”

When quizzed if she will begin work on the same soon after wrapping up ‘Chhapaak’, with Meghna Gulzar, Deepika said that

the characters and the director still need to be fixed.
