Sonam Kapoor took Bollywood by surprise when she unveiled her

“unexpected” love story ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’. Fans, film folk

and the online world at large, were quick to connect the dots in the trailer

that seemed to suggest that the film might just be based on a same-sex

love story. According to reports, Sonam plays a closeted homosexual

looking for validation from her conservative family. Rajkummar Rao plays

the knight in shining armour, who is willing to stage a marriage just to give

Sonam’s character a shot at true love.

Although there has been no confirmation about the same, a new portal

has revealed the person playing the actress’ female love interest in the

film. South star Regina Cassandra will reportedly make her Bollywood

debut by taking on this bold role in the film. Regina is a popular name in the South film industry, with many films in Telugu, Tamil

and Kannada to her credit.
