#MeToo movement: Alok Nath’s anticipatory bail plea in Vinta Nanda rape case defferred till December 31

The #MeToo movement hit India a year after it gained prominence across
Hollywood. In the long list of names alleged as sexual predators and
harassers, Alok Nath was at the receiving end of rape allegations by
writer-producer Vinta Nanda. Earlier this month, Alok Nath had filed an
anticipatory bail application in a Mumbai court.
The plea for pre-arrest bail
was filed before Additional Sessions Judge S S Oza, PTI had reported.
That bail plea has been deferred by the sessions court today. According
to ANI, “Writer Vinta Nanda rape case: Order in Alok Nath's anticipatory
bail plea has been deferred till 31 December by Dindoshi Sessions Court
as dictation of the order was not completed.”
