Another live TV audience of millions is set to experience the latest historic chapter in club football’s greatest game, with Real Madrid out for revenge this time after losing the first El Clasico of the LaLiga Santander season 5-1 at Barcelona’s Camp Nou.

Fortunate LaLiga fans in all around the world, from Colombia to the USA and Tanzania to India will have the opportunity to experience the big game at specially organised LaLiga events. Former El Clasico stars and LaLiga representatives will attend match screenings organised by LaLiga and its broadcast partners to share the excitement of this global occasion with local fans.

LaLiga fans in two US cities are in for a particular treat this El Clasico weekend, with events taking place at Houston’s Pitch25 soccer themed restaurant and hangout venue and Los Angeles’ ROW DTLA urban space and market. LaLiga title winners Fernando Morientes [with Real Madrid in 2001 and 2003] and Patrick Kluivert [with Barcelona in 1998/99], plus ex-Barça and Valencia midfielder Gaizka Mendieta, will be in attendance.

The Canadian cities of Montreal and Toronto will both host a series of El Clasico events including a ‘Footy Talks’ question and answer session with local journalists along with a Watch Party with free entry for supporters gathering to experience the game together.

5,000 LaLiga supporters are expected at the Movistar Arena in the Colombian capital of Bogota, where a series of events are being organised around the game by LaLiga and broadcaster ESPN, together with former Real Madrid and Argentina midfielder Fernando Redondo.

Rio de Janeiro’s beautiful Marina da Gloria will host the weekend’s official LaLiga El Clasico event in Brazil, with live music, exciting competitions and other fan activities set up by ESPN and LaLiga. Ex-Real Betis playmaker Denilson will be the official LaLiga ambassador on hand.

El Clasico day will also see Smart TV screens installed across India’s principal cities as part of a brand-new viewing experience for Indian fans of LaLiga. The gathered fans’ viewing experience will be broadcast on Facebook, no doubt demonstrating the huge involvement and engagement of Indian supporters of LaLiga.

Thanks to Sportpesa and local broadcast partners in each country, special El Clasico events are also planned for LaLiga fans in South Africa and in Tanzania in conjunction with AZAM. Cameroon will broadcast with Canal+ as part of the LaLiga Cine programme showing LaLiga games in Canal Olympia cinemas.

All Saturday’s action from the Santiago Bernabeu will also be shown live in cinemas across Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia, with fan participation events also taking place in each location, thanks to LaLiga’s broadcast partners Eleven Sports and DIGI. Moscow will also host a special viewing party, with LaLiga legend and long-time Russian international Aleksandr Mostovoi in attendance.

LaLiga followers all over the world are also encouraged to get involved themselves on social media and keep the global conversation going around the game, using the #ElClasico hashtag, and to stay tuned to LaLiga's digital channels all through the week leading up to the game to keep themselves completely informed of all the breaking pre-game developments from both camps.
