Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai to celebrate National Science Day with a National Geographic Film Festival


Mumbai, February 22, 2019: Announcing National Science Day celebrations, Nehru Science Centre today joined hands with National Geographic, to host a weeklong extravaganza dedicated to space exploration based documentary. As a part of the association, Nehru Science Centre starting today, will host ‘National Geographic Film Festival’, featuring some exciting and path breaking films from National Geographic. All the films have been hand-picked from ‘STARSTRUCK’, National Geographic’s destination for the best space exploration content – scheduled every Saturday & Sunday at 9 pm.



The film festival, which is on till February 27, will include some of the most cinematic and spectacular shows like Mission to the Sun, Hubble’s Amazing Universe, ISS 24/7 On A Space Station, Curiosity Life Of A Mars Rover and Mangalyaan: India's Mission to Mars. The entry for the festival is free of cost and people can watch these incredible films in either of the two time-slots per day. Commenting on the National Geographic Film Festival, Shri Shivaprasad M. Khened, Director, Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai said, “Our endeavour by hosting a film festival to celebrate National Science Day, is to engage and inspire students with some breath-taking content. We hope not only captivate students, but also ignite their curiosity, with this National Geographic Film Festival at the Nehru Science Center.”
