‘Superwoman’ Lilly Singh recalls drunken bonding moment with Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot

YouTuber Lilly Singh had a sweet bonding moment with Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot and fans are living for it. Wonder Woman and Superwoman are officially besties. The comedy vlogger – known online as Superwoman – tweeted about the sweet moment after having a blast at the WME Pre-Oscars party. Mentioning their roles in the music video for Maroon 5’s Girls Like You, she wrote: ‘How much did I drink tonight? Enough to approach @GalGadot and say “in the girls like you video, YOU turn into ME!” Annnnddddd goodnight.’ And everyone was thinking the same thing:

The cute story comes after Lilly officially ditched her ‘Superwoman’ nickname and spoke out about prioritising her mental health this year. Swapping her trademark introduction, ‘What up everyone, it’s your girl Superwoman’ for ‘it’s your girl Lilly’, the 30-year-old explained that she’s ready to focus on her own happiness this year rather than putting all her energy into her online persona. ‘What’s going on 2019? And can I just say, I am happy,’ she beamed at the beginning of the video as she referenced her break from the platform to focus on her mental health. She added: ‘2019 is the year I want to take risks, I want to tell dope stories, I want to put out stuff that I’m super proud of, that excites me.’

We could not be more ready. And, while Lilly ditched her ‘Superwoman’ persona, Gal is set to return to screens as the Amazonian superhero in the third installment of the franchise. While it’s not set to be released until 2020, director Patty Jenkins has confirmed she has clear plans of how she wants to ‘end’ her Wonder Woman’s arc.
