Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Deepika Padukone found herself surrounded by rumours regarding her citizenship. Putting all these false reports about holding a Danish citizenship to an end, Deepika proudly showed off her inked finger after casting her vote today in Mumbai.

Dressed in an oversized white shirt, jeans and sneakers, Deepika stepped out to cast her vote and even posed for the shutterbugs while she was at it. Early in the day, multiple reports about Deepika’s civil rights and assumed inability to cast her vote had people buzzing.

With the reports flooding the internet, doubting her Indian citizenship and right to vote, the actress assured that she has an Indian passport and said she would indeed be casting her vote.
