Zee Bollywood to air the award winning film ‘Beta’ on Sunday, 28th April at 2.45pm 

Greed Kills! This is the key take away from the 1992 blockbuster film Beta. Directed by Indra Kumar the movie features Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit and Aruna Irani in pivotal roles. Beta gave Madhuri Dixit the title of ‘Dhak Dhak Girl’. The 90’s sensuous song was choreographed by ace choreographer Saroj Khan and went on to become a chartbuster. Zee Bollywood with the brand promise of bringing its viewers 101% Shuddh Bollywood movies will telecast the 101% Shuddh Drama on Sunday, 28 April at 2.45pm.

The plot revolves around the life of Raju (Anil Kapoor) who is the son of a widower multi-millionaire Rajiv (Akash Khurana). With the sole intention of Raju not missing out on a mother’s love, his father gets married to Laxmi (Aruna Irani) who is a shrewd and cunning lady. Raju being a devoted and dutiful son accepts his step-mother and does whatever he asks of him. Laxmi however takes advantage of this situation and instigates him against his aging father as she wants her son to benefit from Rajiv’s wealth. Time goes by, Raju meets Saraswati (Madhuri Dixit), and they gradually fall in love and decide to get married. As she begins to stay with his family she notices the behaviour of Laxmi towards Raju and talks to him about it. He disregards her observations and continues to hold his step-mother at a pedestal. Hell-bent on exposing her greed and cruel intentions, Saraswati decides to reveal Laxmi's every effort and intention in a dignified manner so that her husband Raju is not offended.
