Richa Chadha learns tribal belly dance in Kazakhstan, says it’s a mystical art form

Actress Richa Chadha is all set to portray South actress and adult-star Shakeela

in the upcoming biopic. And for the dance sequences, Richa briefly went for belly dance lessons. However, things didn’t end there, and her association with the dance form went

to another level.

The ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ actress spent a significant amount of time researching and exploring belly dance a lot more. Passionate and determined, she made her way to Kazakhstan,

which is known for its renowned belly dancing schools, and also attended an extensive tribal belly dance training workshop conducted by Olga Meos. During an interview conducted by a news website, Richa said, “I came across this particular style of dancing

while doing some research for ‘Shakeela’. In the film, there is one song in which there is little section of belly dance. As I researched a little more, I discovered that this style had very oriental routes.”
