Close to Reality.Chernobyl is a gripping mini-series that has gained global popularity for chronicling the events around one of the worst man-made catastrophes, the 1986 nuclear accident in Chernobyl, Ukraine. Streaming on Hotstar Premium, the last episode of the series is set to release on 3rd June 2019.

Set in April 1986, an explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics occurred, signalling the start of the worst nuclear disaster in history. Created by Craig Mazin, the series boasts of a stellar ensemble cast led by British actors Jared Harris and Emily Watson and Swedish star Stellan Skarsgard. Harris plays scientist Valery Legasov, who comes to realiseabout the impending disaster much before anyone else; while Watson plays Ulana Khomyuk, a scientist who is investigating the disaster. Skarsgard, meanwhile, stars as Boris Shcherbina, who is assigned by the Kremlin to lead the government inquiry on Chernobyl in the wake of the catastrophe. Other cast members include Jessie Buckley as Lyudmilla Ignatenko, whose husband Vasily (Adam Nagaitis) is one of the firemen assigned to the reactor following the explosion.

The last episode is set to conclude as Valery Legasov, Boris Shcherbina and UlanaKhomyuk risk everything to expose the truth about Chernobyl. Will justice be done?
